Need ideas on how to use Photosynth in the Classroom?
Create a tour of your classroom for families
· Divide the class into groups and have each small group focus on a part of your classroom.
· Groups should plan "points of interest" and write some sentences for each point of interest that describes the part of the classroom and what goes on there. They can include important rules or what type of behavior is expected.
· Each group needs to take 10-20 photos of that part of your classroom. They should be sure that there are good closeups of their points of interest
· Complete the series of photos by having a student (or you) stand in the center of the room and take a series of 360 degree photos.
· Use Photosynth to put them together. (Be sure to mark your synth as private so that people can only find it using the direct URL).
· Taking turns, each group will use the "Highlights" tab to zoom in to their highlights and add captions.
· When the Photosynth is completed, you can send the URL to families so they can visit your classroom from the perspective of your students!
Learning Excursions
When taking students to a location to learn, break them into groups. Each group will be assigned a topic and take photos so that they can create a Photosynth. They need to select highlights and write captions for their highlights.
Bring the World to Your Class
Do you have the opportunity to visit a location that you would like your students to visit? Bring the world to them by creating your own Photosynth.
